About Us

Curator is a creative intermediary that bridges the gap between artists and the commercial world. We help organisations integrate art, culture, and storytelling into their spaces and strategies while ensuring artists are supported, valued, and protected.

With a background in project management, placemaking, and creative production, we understand how to bring vision and execution together. Our role is part translator, part producer turning creative ideas into commercial outcomes, and commercial briefs into creative work.

Whether it's a mural for a public space, a curated collection for a development, or a collaboration with a designer or creative, we manage the process, protect the creativity, and deliver projects that leave a lasting impact.

What we do

At Curator, we connect artists with corporate and commercial opportunities and make sure the collaboration works for everyone.

We understand that artists and organisations often speak different languages. One values instinct, expression, and creative flow. The other needs clarity, timelines, and outcomes. Our job is to translate between the two, making sure expectations are aligned, communication is clear, and the brief is truly understood on both sides.

Whether it's a public artwork, a curated interior element, a brand collaboration, or an event – we’re there from concept to completion, managing the process with care, structure, and respect for the creative process.

We make sure:
- Artists feel supported, respected, and informed.
- Clients feel confident, involved, and understood.
- The outcome is something everyone is proud of.

At the heart of it, Curator is about clear communication, strong relationships, and beautiful outcomes.

Meet the Founder

Curator was founded by Morgan Hiko, a creative project manager with over 15 years of experience delivering high-impact work across construction, placemaking, and creative production. Through her construction project management consultancy, Sequinc, Morgan has worked across education, community, and commercial sectors, often leading the connection between strategy, design, and delivery.

Morgan has also been deeply involved in the arts throughout her life growing up in a family of artists and spending over 15 years connected to Awataha Marae, surrounded by culture, creativity, and kaupapa. Her experience spans working with designers, artists, interior creatives, and event makers, giving her a rare ability to navigate both creative thinking and structured delivery.

At Curator, she brings these worlds together – ensuring that creative work is both protected and empowered through strong process, clear communication, and thoughtful care.
